Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Turns Muse For Dolce And Gabbana, And Well She Does Look Like Barbie But The Cake One

It’s Day 2 at Cannes Film Festival and we’ve been eagerly waiting for our favourite celebrities to walk the red carpet. From Deepika Padukone to Tamannaah Bhatia, actresses from our motherland have already worked their magic on the scintillating carpet on Day 1. But heart races faster as we witness a favourite guest at the film festival ever since the year 2002–Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Yes, the most gorgeous woman in the world has graced the red carpet and I have mixed feelings about her choice of outfit.

Arriving for photographs, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan walked the red carpet in black and floral tulle, ballroom gown from designer label–Dolce And Gabbana. For her day 2 appearance, perhaps her first this year, Aishwarya was seen flashing her brightest smile in a stunning black gown, that featured floral accents headlining one shoulder and a wide-slit sneaking through the massive black gown. Styled by celebrity stylist Aastha Sharma, Aishwarya opted for the colour black and blooming flowers for the big entrance as she teamed her attire with diamond drop earrings and matching finger rings. As per makeup and hair, Aishwarya settled for a full-face matte look with lips painted with a stroke of Barbie pink and middle-parted hair styled in a very 2000s aesthetic.

While it’s definitely not Aishwarya’s debut at Cannes and for sure not her sartorial best also. I mean, the woman has served both memes and magic each time she walked the red carpet at Cannes, but this time, it feels pretty much just–’okay.’ The D&G piece is indeed a great mode to seek attention and make a statement but this one feels nothing but a Barbie doll cake, which I neither like looking at nor eating.

Perhaps, this look is even surprising after her day look from the same day in Valentino. I mean, that highlighter pink pantsuit and platform heels from Valentino’s Pink PP collection has a different fandom of its own and I am a part of it.

Chalo, there’s more to Cannes and more for us to witness, so let’s have some patience and wait for Aishwarya to present the best. BTW, what do you think about this look?
