1. Gigi Hadid
Supermodel Gigi Hadid made her first red carpet appearance of this year, wearing a body-fit gown by Zac Posen. The mermaid-shaped, nude-coloured silhouette featured the essence of crisp tailoring, flaunting edgy flaps on the sides. Hadid walked the carpet wearing the gown, styled with tons of diamond jewellery, including a statement neckpiece and earpieces. She further curled her hair and made sure to keep it minimal this year.

2. Michelle Yeoh
The elegant Michelle Yeoh, too made her Cannes appearance in a striking green gown. Staying in touch with the current fashion trends, Yeoh’s selection for the evening was a piece from Balenciaga’s signature gowns. The hooded, taffeta design featured a floor-sweeping train, and a ruched bodice, she further styled the look with black opera gloves and a matching necklace.

3. Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence arrived for her first Cannes red carpet this year in a custom-made red gown by Dior. The romantic silhouette described classic, old-school Hollywood glam, with a pleated neckline, structure tulle and a slim cape decorating her shoulders. Lawrence further completed the ensemble with a dainty, zig-zag diamond choker and hair left open.

4. Natalie Portman
This past weekend was all about actress Natalie Portman’s appearance at Cannes. Wearing Dior, the actress made sure to turn every head at the film festival with her vintage fashion choice. This recreation of Christian Dior’s iconic Haute Couture “Junon” dress from 1949, was Portman’s choice for the evening. A strapless bodice, and glitter petals covering the flounce made up a magnificent red carpet look. She further styled it all with a sleek low bun and diamond drop earrings.

5. Dua Lipa
Debuting her edgy new French fringe, Dua walked the Cannes red carpet with her boyfriend Romain Gavras. Twinning in black, the two arrived in crisp formals for the event. Lipa in particular picked a gorgeous, multi-cut-out number from Celine in the shade black. The body-hugging silhouette featured front cut-outs and a thigh-high slit and a backless design. She further weaved the look together with a messy top knot and her unconventional fringes.

6. Viola Davis
The wonderful Viola Davis was another stylish star on the red carpet this past week. The actress trusted Valentino to make an appearance at Cannes. The white gown on Davis was a one-shouldered silhouette, decorated with a statement crystal brooch. She further layered the look with a feathered cape jacket, that added more volume to the entire outfit. Channelising her big hair mood, Davis left her hair open, with tiny diamond drop earrings picked as the only form of accessories.
