Fans quickly noticed the word “Nirvaan” written on RM’s t-shirt, and pictures of it went viral on the internet. Soon after, the brand that made the t-shirt explained the meaning behind the design. They clarified that “Nirvana”, written in Hindi, represents a state of complete freedom and tranquillity.

The t-shirt’s design also featured Seokgamoni Buddha sitting peacefully in the middle. Below the image, the Chinese letter “열” was engraved. This letter symbolises deep silence. Reacting to RM’s t-shirt, one fan wrote, “Seeing the fav artist wearing such a shirt like this makes our day full of smiles, and as a Tibetan Buddhist, I was really happy to see him wearing a shirt with Lord Buddha.” Another fan wrote, “As an Indian Buddhist Army….
