A Hauterfly Investigation Reveals Deepika Padukone Is Responsible This Viral Fashion Trend And We Love It

It takes more than just trendy pieces to become a true trendsetter. It is one thing for a celeb to have fans emulate their style. A whole another to have other fashion girls adopt their unique flair. Bollywood can boast of hosting genuine trendsetters as well. Sonam Kapoor, with stylist sister Rhea, has always been a fashion inspiration for younger actresses and sometimes even their stylists. Likewise, Deepika Padukone and stylist pal Shaleena Nathani have been responsible for curating standout looks that are a class apart!

A couple of weeks ago, we spotted Deepika slaying yet another #AirportLook with her usual grace and charm.

The actress paired her button-down long shirt with a pair of stockings and topped it up with ankle boots. She added a denim jacket and Dior strap bag to the mix as well.

Fun Fact: Dior, with their iconic bags, also retail cool straps separately and they are uber chic. For women who love customization, this luxury alternative is a great proposition. While the bags themselves can cost up to 4 lakhs, for a collector the straps can come up to somewhere near a lakh. Now that’s a luxe collection!

….Aditi Rao Hydari is one of them! The actress seems inspired by Deepika’s love for strap bags and has her own collection of Dior bags and straps. She also seems to dig the strap bag + denim combo, given that she chose to sport it more than once!

We are not surprised that this style is catching everyone’s eye because it looks so good! The contrast between a casual denim jacket with an evening bag updated with a long strap is fresh. While Aditi chose to stay true to the source material with her recreation, Kiara Advani updated it a bit further.

Kiara chose to sport the iconic Dior saddle bag with their signature multi-coloured canvas strap. While she skipped the jacket, she did do it with a double denim look with the bag. We like her version of the look as well!

We think it is safe to say that Deepika has earned her trendsetter status. We hope the trend spreads like wildfire, it’s not every day we get to see posh pieces from Dior casually paired with a denim jacket and shorts!
