From BLACKPINK’s Lisa wearing a beautiful Rahul Mishra ensemble for her performance, to Karan Johar showing off his structured Gaurav Gupta suit, it was wholesome to watch. Fans of the singer have been so joyed to see her wear an Indian designer that we couldn’t stop ourselves from decoding her outfit!

BLACKPINK’s Lisa Wears Rahul Mishra At The Oscars

Lisa, a model, singer, and actor, became the first K-Pop performer to appear at the 2025 Oscars. She decided to take centre stage in Rahul Mishra couture for this particular occasion. She wore the ‘Gaian Genesis’ black tonal velvet dress from the designer’s ‘The Pale Blue Dot’ Spring Couture 2025 collection, which featured a slit on one side and black embroidery. Fans were quick to obsess over the singer wearing one of the biggest Indian brands and even said that they always wished to see her wear something like this.

Not just her, The Office fame Mindy Kaling also wore Mishra for her special look at the Oscars. Rahul Mishra, who is renowned for using complex, hand-embroidered motifs and taking inspiration from nature, created the unique jharoka concept sari that Mindy Kaling wore on the red carpet. A Mughal garden with peacocks concealed among plants, animals, and greenery was depicted in the Kaling sari.

Karan Johar wore designer Gaurav Gupta’s distinctive look at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. He donned a satin shirt and trousers with a black monotone ensemble that was accentuated with tiny chains and gold-plated wing accents on the lapels. The last touch was a pair of gold-tinted glasses.
