The white dress that the BLACKPINK member wore to receive the grand prize was a gorgeous ode to her culture. The dress had a symmetrical open-front cutout that resembled the architectural silhouette of the Seokgatap Pagoda. The building is considered a national Korean treasure that symbolises proportions and structural harmony.

However, it was BLACKPINK Jennie’s outfit for ‘Seoul City’ that made heads turn. The singer showed up wearing a 15-meter-long veil printed with excerpts from Cheonggu Yeongeon, Korea’s first Hangul songbook. The veil draped beautifully as she stood on an elevated platform, looking majestic.
