Beyoné’s Latest Cover Shoot For Vogue Talks About Glamour That’s Gilded And Gorgeous

Beyoncé is an icon and her recent cover photoshoot for British Vogue adds more chaar chaand to her persona. According to the latest pictures posted on the official social media handles of the fashion magazine, Beyoncé is seen taking her throne in a never-seen-before avatar. The “Partition” star arrives in her maximalist best and lights up our screens.

The first picture that is sure to even take your breath away is the visual of the rockstar, sitting on a horse with a mix of black and red lights putting her presence in the spotlight. The aesthetic that binds these pictures together and helps us make some sense of the giant horse taking to the dance floor, explains to me the marriage between disco lights and royalty, that Vogue puts an accurate term to my feelings with the idea of–’retro-futurism.’ A collaborative experience of style as designed by Beyoncé and the team at British Vogue, the nuanced emotion of gilded glamour befriends massive mirror balls like never-seen-before.

While it’s glitter, glitter all the way, Queen B slips into a gorgeous, form-fitting black attire from label–ALAÏA, teamed with a custom headpiece curated by Harris Reed and Vivienne H Lake. As we further move forward, the musician literally is dripping gold in a scintillating crystal-mesh, sequins coat picked from the shelves of label–Schiaparelli’s haute couture collection. The Saturn ring earrings, that we previously saw on Doja Cat, find a perfect match in the glimmering look.

Taking on maximalism in full swing, Queen B in the next frame owns a massive mirror disco ball like her thrown, as she takes a seat. The flashing lights, beautiful reflections on her trail and a massive hairdo that replicates a silhouette of fireworks in the sky, everything fails to steal our attention from her face. For this one, she wears a silk corset, accompanied by sequin stockings and a velvet trail, designed by Harris Reed. I can’t help and stare at her shoes, that scream about the year’s favourite platform heels in a colour, that’s probably the most loved amongst celebrities this year. Keeping away from her jewels, she sticks to a dainty Tiffany neckpiece.

In between the many times that Beyoncé has her fans smitten by her aura, these series of images assure she’s been serving the ‘main character’ energy for quite some time. A marvellous snapshot of her posing in an extravagant leather jacket, will call for your unbiased attention. Experimenting with the fabric play, she pairs the massive piece with a mesh jumpsuit by GCDS. She trusts the classics and her choice of pink and red. Another surprising element about this ensemble is the addition of a holographic-esqué multi-hued hat, designed by Philip Treacy.

Switching her rides in almost every look, Beyoncé quickly settles for a ravishing bike. Breathing the grunge aesthetic under shining lights,  the “Single Ladies” singer zips up a leather look. Flaunting a sturdy jacket by designer–Junya Watanabe, platform boots and a be-jewelled hair band, she adds three layers of black tinsels to match a million falling straps stitched to the silhouette. And switching from the dark themed overalls to a techno-doll, Beyoncé travels from the past to the future in a fraction of seconds.

The set-up is a messenger of her next evolution. This photoshoot also marks the singer’s return which is grander than ever. As it drops ahead of the star’s upcoming album release, on July 29, with  Renaissance, being the presumable title. In conversation with British Vogue editor–Edward Enninful, Beyoncé surprises him with a part of his unreleased music, and that’s fuelling the excitement amongst fans. Well, we can’t wait to groove to Beyoncé’s upcoming masterpiece.
