Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are gearing up for the release of their upcoming romantic drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari titled Bawaal. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, this film is set to have a global release on the OTT platform Prime Video on July 21, 2023. A special screening of the film was held in Mumbai on Tuesday night and it was a starry affair. Bawaal blue carpet was attended by leading celebs from television as well as the film industry including Nora Fatehi, Pooja Hegde, Huma Qureshi, Mrunal Thakur, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Avneet Kaur, Tamannaah Bhatia, Soundary Sharma and many more. And while many stars brought their glam A-game to the blue carpet, others seemed to have left it at home. Let’s take a look at all the best and worst dressed celebs at the grand event.
Best Dressed Celebs At Bawaal Premiere
Janhvi Kapoor
Janhvi Kapoor caused a Bawaal at the special screening of her film after she turned up in a stunning mermaid cut metallic silver holographic gown. To say that the actress glammed up the event would be an understatement. She paired her look with matching shimmery silver heels and skipped the accessories altogether.

Varun Dhawan
Varun Dhawan opted for a classic black suit and tie paired with a white shirt and looks like our favourite boy knows how to clean up nice. The actor looked suave as he posed for the paps at the blue carpet event.
Pooja Hegde channelled her inner Barbie as she glammed up for the Bawaal screening in a stunning pink ruched dress with full sleeves featuring a plunging neckline.Pooja Hegde
The Tiku Weds Sheru star Avneet Kaur turned up the heat in a turquoise backless gown. The outfit was ruched at the back and the actress paired it with shimmery silver heels and diamond drop earrings and a matching silver bag. Uff, she totally left us feeling breathless in her sultry avatar.Avneet Kaur
Arjun Kapoor was one of the few actors who opted for a colour that wasn’t black! The Kuttey star caught our attention as he showed up on the blue carpet of Bawaal special screening in a Navy Blue suit paired with a black shirt (thoda black toh chalta hai).Arjun Kapoor

Jannat Zubair
Jannat Zubair attended the Bawaal premiere dressed in a strappy beige and brown ombre dress paired with black strappy heels. And boy, did she look stunning!
Worst Dressed Celebs At Bawaal Premiere
Natasha Dalal
Designer and Varun Dhawan’s wife Natasha Dalal left us feeling disappointed after she posed at the Bawaal premiere blue carpet dressed in a boring pleated metallic silver dress. She paired it with strappy clear heels and NGL but we expected better from her. More so because she’s a designer.
Nora Fatehi
Nora Fatehi seems to have gotten the dress code wrong. The actress decided to not dress up and wore a simple pink cami top with Barbie written on it paired with blue jeans and white heels. Erm, we don’t like this underdressed Barbie!
While Janhvi Kapoor looked like a glam princess, The Archies star and sister Khushi Kapoor looked rather boring in a simple strapless white A-line dress. As if that boring dress wasn’t bad enough, the actress decided to keep her accessories minimal too and we’re definitely not loving this look.Khushi Kapoor
Tamannaah Bhatia
Tamannaah Bhatia opted for a pantsuit for the event and the striped blazer with pants with polka dots was a big no-no. That look is a lesson in why we shouldn’t pair stripes and polka dots.

Nushrratt Bharuccha
Nushrratt Bharuccha opted for a stunning white dress with corset bodice and wrapped skirt and she would’ve looked stunning, if only her outfit did not make her look shapeless.
Many other stars including Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Karan Johar, Anshula Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Radhika Madan, Boney Kapoor, Sakib Saleem, Huma Qureshi and Prajakta Koli also graced the event.
FYI, if you’re curious to know more about Bawaal and its connection with World War 2 after watching the trailer, watch the film on Prime Video on July 21.
