After months of speculation, actress Athiya Shetty finally tied the knot with cricketer–KL Rahul in an intimate wedding setup. With her dad Suniel Shetty’s Khandala bungalow serving as the perfect venue for the special day, the couple slid into the most simple yet elegant outfits to mark the special day. Unlike many celebrity weddings that involved monumental outfits, bride Athiya Shetty romanced with pastel pink. The actress’ bridal lehenga by designer Anamika Khanna featured delicate tonal embroidery.
The geometric shapes and circular motifs were decorated with tiny sequins and dainty threadwork. A part of Athiya’s outfit was a slim, full-sleeve blouse, teamed with a flouncy lehenga, and a two-dupatta serving the duties of a veil and her train. Styling the look, Shetty picked heirloom jewellery pieces featuring spectacular rani haar, shoulder-grazing earrings and a delicate maangtika.

Keeping her makeup extremely simple, the actress chose to channel a dewy, more natural glam. She further styled her hair into a low bun, decorated with a half dupatta. An interesting element in her look were her kaleeras featuring intricate motifs of sun and flowers, attached to her polki bangles.
Groom KL Rahul matched his bride in an off-white sherwani by designer Anamika Khanna, which he styled using emerald neckpieces and a dupatta going around his neck. Just like Athiya’s lehenga, Rahul’s sherwani featured an overlay of delicate, tonal embroidery, which he styled without a groom turban.
Their wedding outfits reminded us of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s bridal looks designed by Sabyasachi, the colour combination of pastel pink and off-white suggest both Athiya and KL might have taken inspiration from them. What do you think?
