One such memorable, celebrity bridal look was of actress Anushka Ranjan. But who designed by her lehenga.

Bollywood is always known for setting the highest standards, when it comes to beauty, fashion and more. That being said, celebrities when turn into real life brides, are always looked with tons of love and admiration, well, not to forget, even an inspiration board for their fans. Every time an actress decides to get married, everything from the colour of their lehenga to their jewellery, is discussed by media and fans.
One such memorable, celebrity bridal look was of actress Anushka Ranjan. It was in November 2021, when Anushka tied the knot with actor Aditya Seal. For the celebrations, Ranjan wore a bright lilac saree and set a new trend. Skipping the usual trend of bridal red, Ranjan wore this lilac number. But what created a buzz on the internet was when people thought it was designed by Indian designer Manish Malhotra.
Well, that wasn’t true. In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, the actress revealed that not Manish, but her aunty Mohini designed the lehenga for her. She mentioned–”A lot of people thought that this was a Manish (Malhotra) piece but he did my red outfit, which I wore for my sangeet. Honestly, every designer that I got my clothes customised from, held some emotional value. That being said, this lehenga is made by my aunt Mohini, who has known me much longer.”
Ranjan further added–”She has a much more, bigger place in my heart. So, I wanted the two people, who I have a very good connection with, to be a part of my celebrations.” Ranjan also revealed her love for the colour and why she chose to walk away from the traditional red–”I have had a fascination with this colour since I was a kid. I have loved this colour and I find it very calming, very serene.” Explaining the details of her lehenga, she added–”I wanted a square neck, and my aunt had made a v-neck initially and I got it changed. I didn’t want a heavy veil because I thought my head is going to fall off. So yes.”
During this exclusive conversation, Anushka welcomed us into her closet, shared some favourites and talked about her style.
