Anusha Dandekar’s Closet Proves She’s A Rockstar And The World’s Her Stage

We all once in our lives have hoped to channel that rockstar energy, either behind closed doors or while dancing in our shower. And while this may be just a silly act of dreaming of oneself on the big stage, the idea of being a rockstar has now become a full-fledged fashion trend. Even for those who aren’t blessed with a surili awaaz,girls around the globe are loving the Rockstarcore aesthetic. Stemmed from TikTok, everyone who enjoys reliving the 1950s, and the era of millennials, is love it. And channelling a similar energy is birthday girl, Anusha Dandekar’s wardrobe, which is reminiscent of a pop star from the years gone by.
The VJ, model and entrepreneur has a closet full of muted and peppy shades, mixed with skater skirts and fishnets. With just a missing mic in most pictures, Dandekar’s every photoshoot reminds us of her love for rock n pop. Hence we’re looking at some of our favourite looks from her Instagram grid.
Ravishing Red
Like a grand performer, Dandekar wore a three-piece set by designer–Farah Sanjana. Wearing a version of Tankini (a combination of tank top and bikini), the model masterfully coupled the piece with an elaborate red coverup, featuring ruffled sleeves, and a belt. Another of our favourite red looks on her is this corduroy, tomato-red pantsuit, which she styled with burnt orange boots.

See-Through Sass
Much like an onstage performer, Dandekar wore a see-through dress for her reality show Supermodel Of The Year. The mesh form-fitted silhouette featured a swimsuit-esqué lining in black and a shimmer overlay that accentuated the overall look.

Beloved Black
In another string of pictures, Anusha styled a cropped blazer by label–Appapop and matching roomy pants by Zara. Curating the look further, she experimented with pigtails and hoop earrings.

Experimenting with a glitter fishnet top, Anusha’s stylist Khyati Basu curated a white-on-white look using a blazer and skirt. What we loved about the ensemble was the addition of anti-fit, monogrammed Gucci boots in nude colour.

Stage Perfect
For a special stage performance, Anusha churned out two distinct looks that spoke in both power and bling. For the first round, Dandekar picked a green pantsuit layered over a pink bustier top, and for look two she chose to wear an outstanding Manish Malhotra bling dress. Both looks were styled using minimal jewellery and glass heels.

Futuristic And Fiery
Anusha pulled off a version of the classic military print in a futuristic design by Falguni Shane Peacock. The conceptual silhouette featured a side-slit cut with strap closures, and a massive ruffled detailing around her neck. Anusha styled the look with crisp hair curls and black block heels.

Another statement piece in her closet is this feather blue mini dress by label–Zabella. What we love about the look is the pop, electric blue colour, which features a one-shouldered neckline, and is styled using a ponytail and earrings.
