Last night was indeed a special one for the Ambani family, as Anant Ambani finally tied the knot with Radhika Merchant. Dazzling in the most scintillating looks, the couple brought glamour to traditional silhouettes with designer wear. Bride Radhika stole the spotlight in her minimal, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla wedding lehenga, paying homage to her Gujarati roots.
For the vidaai ceremony, Merchant was decked up in a pristine red Manish Malhotra couture lehenga. This exquisite blouse features real gold karchobi work, inspired by the traditional abho and the rich textile heritage of Kutch, Gujarat. The piece presented the artistry of the late 19th century.
Paired with a multi-panelled Banarasi brocade lehenga in sunset hues, the lehenga paid tribute to India’s timeless elegance. The twinkling full-sleeved blouse was further punctuated with a red veil featuring lattice design, combined with mustard borders. The dupatta was another golden handicraft from India, the Banarasi woven masterpiece. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, the look was further elevated using an emerald choker, matching earrings and maangtika.
For the face glam, Radhika opted for a minimal, dewy look, painting her eyes with kohl and a dainty bindi completing it all. She tied up her hair into a bun and decorated it with white mogras. Radhika Merchant, Anant Ambani hosted a gamut of celebrities from India and overseas to their grand wedding.
