As per the promotional events, trailers and songs of the film, Karan in collaboration with costume designer Manish Malhotra, guarantees you a blockbuster, Bollywood ride, packaged with the latest in fashion trends. In the latest song from the film, Alia is seen wearing a gorgeous, vermilion red saree, as she matches classical steps with Ranveer Singh in “Dhindhora Baje Re.” Skipping her usual palette of sorbet hues in the film, this segment of the movie hints at a dance face-off of emotions, showcasing the power of love. As per her character Rani, the saree remains a constant in even this visual treat, but the colour and embroidery concept leaves a rather impactful mark on our screens.

Playing the filthy rich, sensitive, brand-hoarder and heartbroken girlfriend–Shanaya, the actress wore a gamut of season-specific trends in her debut Karan Johar directorial. But for the most important scene in the film, featuring the song–“Disco Deewane,” Bhatt transforms into this sexy girl, wearing a red tulle dress. Accessorised with a bejewelled hairband and a floral wrist accessory, Alia wore the colour while representing an emotional turmoil in the song. In the romantic film about cross-cultural marriage, Bhatt signed up to play the role of Tam-Bram Ananya.
