From Kareena Kapoor’s Pale Pink To Neetu Kapoor’s Rangeela Lehenga, All The Hits And Misses At Alia, Ranbir’s Vivaah
It’s happening! Ranbir Kapoor is all set to tie the knot with Alia Bhatt and we can’t wait for the special pictures to arrive on our screens. After months and perhaps, years of speculation, the couple who dated for close to five years is making their relationship official. As we get ready to welcome the final D-day pictures, the guests have already made move towards the wedding venue and they all are looking very pretty. From dulhe ki mom–Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni to ladkiwale–Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, the baraatis are set for the big wedding. While I have been loving the sartorial choices made by the starry guest list, we thought there were some hits and misses this time too.
Neetu Kapoor
Kapoor maa, Neetu channelled the big fat Indian wedding aesthetic (which Ranalia didn’t have) through her attire. Wearing dearest designer duo Abu Jani And Sandeep Khosla, Neetu Kapoor arrived in colourful ghaghara from the designer label’s collection. The multi-coloured attire featured a pink skirt, an equally bright yellow dupatta, long shirt blouse, with hemlines exuding a colourful story throughout. She further styled the look with kundan necklace, and hair styled in a low bun. Quite sprightful, Neetu Kapoor’s khushi on son’s wedding was loud and visible, but thoda zyaada hoagaya.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni
Ranbir’s darling sister, Riddhima toned it down a little for the D-day and wore an ivory outfit. Coming straight from the archives of the Kapoor Khandan’s favourite designers Abu Jani And Sandeep Khosla, Riddhima’s crystal laden outfit featured a mandala skirt teamed with a multi-tassel blouse and a matching cape-style dupatta. She further accessorised the look with a statement emerald neckpiece, kundan choker and styled her hair into a low bun. Well, applause for the colour, but we’re not really feeling the mandala skirt. What do you think?

Kareena Kapoor
Staying true to her current obsession for a pastel palette, Kareena’s look for the main day was brought to our screens by her friend/designer Manish Malhotra. Kareena opted for a blush pink, organza saree that featured zari embroidery on the borders and was pulled out from the archives of Manish Malhotra’s Khaab collection. Extremely minimal and basic, which I am not sure is Kareena’s vibe, she teamed the look with delicate kundan and polki jewels, and a statement bangle. Letting her skin breathe through the hot summer, Kareena opted for minimal makeup and a matching potli as another form of accessory. While the look seems nice, it pretty much resembled her outfit selection at sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan’s 2015 wedding, also because even Saif wore pink then and even today. Interestingly enough, the duo also opted for pink at friend Sonam’s shaadi in 2018, and now this. Why are we not surprised Saifina?

Soni Razdan
Alia’s mother–Soni Razdan followed an extremely opposite aesthetic from her samdhan, Neetu Kapoor. Wearing a stunning blush-plum coloured saree, Soni Razdan is one of my favourite well-dressed mehmaan on the list. Matching her polka dot drape with a floral printed green blouse, Soni styled the look with a statement long neckpiece and matching earrings as she added a red bindi to top it all off. Stunning!

Karisma Kapoor
We spotted Karisma Kapoor arriving for the wedding in an orange ensemble. According to the picture posted by Manish Malhotra, Karisma was seen posing with sister Kareena and friend Karan Johar in a sheer off-white saree, teamed with a beautiful, burnt orange coloured blouse and floral embroidery on the borders, designed by Manish Malhotra. She further styled the look with a beautiful matha-patti and matching jhumkas. Karisma is always the best.

Karan Johar
I think Karan Johar is loving the colours of summer, and this look for Ranbir, Alia’s wedding day serves as proof. After donning a highlighter yellow sherwani, Karan Johar arrived in a similar silhouette, but in the shade pink. Wearing a pair of tinted yellow sunglasses, and flaunting his small mehendi motif, Karan’s Manish Malhotra outfit for the day-wedding looked fresh and bright. Good one, KJO!

Akansha Ranjan Kapoor
Alia’s BFF and bridesmaid Akansha Ranjan Kapoor made an edgy statement in a saree which indeed delivered a fresh look on her. Akansha was spotted entering the wedding venue in a floral green saree, matching full-sleeved blouse and stunning jhumkas from the label Sabyasachi. She further styled the look with hair sealed into a neat bun and a black bindi. Gorgeous Akansha!
