Alia Bhatt’s Marigold Maternity Look For Her Intimate Baby Shower Is Her Version Of Kesariya Ishq

Actress Alia Bhatt has been experimenting her way into maternity fashion. With a plethora of roomy silhouettes in place, the actress has been relying on kalidar kurtas and an ample amount of custom-made gharara sets to cradle her baby bump. Yesterday, the 29-year-old also hosted her baby shower. Parents-to-be Alia and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed the Kapoor and Bhatt khandaan for an intimate family get-together. For momma-to-be, yellow seemed like the perfect pick for the day, knowing kesariya is her current obsession. Marking the last day of Navratri, the actress wrapped herself in a yellow kalidar kurta set, which is a silhouette, her baby bump has been quite familiar with.

On Bhatt, we spotted a marvellous marigold anarkali, which was custom-made by label–RajiRamniq. The delicate multi-pleated silhouette featured intricate, mirror-laden lines, highlighting the pleats. Bhatt rounded up the look with a pair of churidar in the same shade. Topping it all off, Alia added a basic dupatta, with an embellished scalloped border pinned to one shoulder. For jewellery, Alia picked up a lovely choker with mirrors and pearls, which found a match in a maangtika and delicate earrings.

Keeping her makeup extremely subtle, the Darlings star used tons of blush and powder-pink lip colour to complete the look. She further added a dainty black bindi to package the traditional ensemble. Posing alongside the mom-to-be, attendees, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and Soni Razdan, picked lovely colours of red, purple and pink to dress up. Dad-to-be/actor Ranbir Kapoor, skipped the twinning and winning route and chose to wear a baby pink, chikankari kurta for the intimate puja.
