Alia Bhatt’s New Look For ‘Darlings’ Promotions Suggests Shararas Always Have Your Back And Baby Bump
While every silhouette that makes it to the long list of Indian wear, contributes to the success of a look, the outpouring of love for shararas is exactly why it is a favourite amongst the rest. From Sara Ali Khan to Janhvi Kapoor, celebrities trust a whimsical sharara set to shine on a special occasion or even to mark their best airport looks. Just like them, actress Alia Bhatt is again experimenting with the recipe of traditional Indian wear, as she dons a stunning sharara set for the promotions of her upcoming film–Darlings.

Switching from a bright yellow taffeta dress from Valentino, the actress has now opted for the opposite category in ethnic wear, as she poses for the paparazzi on a windy day in Mumbai. Dressed head-to-toe in prints, Alia chose to wear a black ensemble. The pairing featured a kalidar kurta with a comfort-seeking empire neckline, full sleeves, a matching pair of sharara and a sheer black dupatta to complete the look.

The exuberant shades of orange, pink and green on the black base, made its print the hero of the entire look, with delicate printed detail bordering the hemlines of every element. Finishing off the look, Alia teamed it with a pair of silver-oxidised jhumkas, matching rings and a tiny black bindi, which is a signature addition in most of her ethnic looks.

For makeup, Alia again stayed away from OTT glam and went minimal with a nude-coloured lip shade. Unlike her look for the trailer launch, Alia let her hair loose and flaunted her mom-to-be glow. This traditional silhouette is also a great option for moms-to-be, since it adds more room for your baby bump to breathe and looks fab, as well.
As per Alia’s maternity closet, the Darlings star is so far choosing to hide her baby bump, with a multitude of silhouette options and cuts. But we are surely loving them all.

On the professional front, Alia Bhatt launched the trailer of her first film as a producer–Darlings, today. She is also wrapping up a shoot for the Karan Johar directorial–Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and gearing up for Brahmāstra.
