On Friday, August 2, several pap videos of Akshay Kumar at the airport went viral. The star was seen wearing a basic black t-shirt paired with some square-printed loose pants and black sandals. He paired this look with some orange sunglasses, and while one thought the look might scream ‘silent luxury,’ it went in the complete opposite direction. The pants could only be described as…chaotic. The bold prints, clashing patterns, and a fit that screamed neither comfort nor couture. The pants were loud enough to start their own press conference, and unfortunately, nothing else in his outfit seemed to calm them down.
From afar, they looked like something you’d find in a Goa flea market, and it was not a good fit for Akshay. The plashes of mismatched motifs, odd geometry, and a colour palette that seemed to have no idea what direction it wanted to take. Swapping those pants with some fitted joggers would have led him in the stylish superstar direction. If he really wanted to keep the prints, a more minimal shirt in a complementary colour and cleaner sneakers could have pulled the look together.
