I’ve spent most of 2025 in a near-constant state of reinventing my wardrobe, thanks to micro trends, Pinterest, and my own chaotic need to bring a new aesthetic with each life crisis. While some days it’s the aspirational put-together clean girl, the next day would be a messy girl in jorts and an F1 t-shirt ready to catch the train. But I’ve realised what essentially keeps my ground- the accessories. In a world where our style is as fluid as our For You page, these are six ride-and-die accessories I can not function without. They’re not just an addition to the outfit, but an essential kit for me. So, one Labubu doll and one emotional support water bottle at a time!
1. Labubu Dolls
You know what they say, it’s not a Gen Z bag until there’s a labubu doll dangling from it. The Labubu plushie dolls went viral this year, becoming one of the most renowned accessories of 2025. Don’t believe me? It’s what the fashion experts are saying these days! One Labubu could be dressed in charming little corduroy overalls with rainbow pins, another in a strawberry beanie, or swaddled in a duck costume. There appears to be no limit to the number of styles available, just as there was with the Jellycat mania.
2. Customised Shoe Laces
Yes, the world has moved beyond the sneaker fanatics to giving an identity to the shoe laces. Customised shoe laces are premium; they give style, and they show you care. Whether it’s lace adorned with smileys, psychedelic prints, or even your favourite song lines (yes, that specific), laces are the new way to inject your kicks, and I love it. They’re an easy way to add some statement to your shoes, if not your style.
3. Classic Watches
If we have learnt anything from the celebrities’ wrists this year (Yes, I said it), it’s that vintage watches are back, and it’s the only thing you need to flaunt in 2025. Bracelet watches are particularly popular, adorning the wrists of ladies who want to dress up in baggy sweaters and low-key button-downs; in contrast, leather timepieces have faces and straps that are as small and retro-looking as possible. So, if you can’t afford a Cartier Tank, don’t worry—as long as your choice fits the vintage style, you’ll be right on trend.

A tech accessories topping the charts, wired headphones are just one less thing for the GenZ kids to charge.
5. Sculptural Moments
Every fashion influencer shooting a GRWM ends their video with a sculptural chunky hand cuffs that they make the statement accessory of their look. Sculptural gold jewellery is timeless and solid. It looks great with any outfit, whether you’re dressing up for a Zoom call, office wear, or a socially distant coffee. When we aren’t trying to dress up in blatantly spectacular, glamorous outfits, this creative, stunning jewellery can deliver the sense of fashion with a capital F that we’ve been looking for.
6. Hello Kitty x ANYTHING
