7 Vegan Shoe Brands For The Ethical Shopper

Whether you live a cruelty-free lifestyle or want to make a few changes keeping the planet in mind, vegan shoe brands are a great place to start when it comes to sustainable fashion. In 2019 it’s easier than ever to knit out your wardrobe with organic dresses, recycled jeans, and handcrafted sweaters, but what about shoes?

While faux leather and fabric shoes exist, it’s often difficult to find a vegan shoe that’s high quality and chic. But we found a few brands that are doing ethical shoes in their own way. Whether it’s with responsibly sourced leather, recycled plastic or vegan textiles, they’re all delivering on non-granola styles. Read on to discover your new go-to pair.

The Skipper Heel (Rs 26355)

At first glance you will never guess Rafa shoes are actually vegan. The Los Angeles brand was set up in 2015 with the simple goal of creating classic silhouettes that were comfortable and ethically produced.  Their shoes are made of vegan textiles like faux-suede, velvet and plush tapestry fabrics. For a classic 90’s inspired shoe, Rafa’s green Skipper Heels features a comfortable block heel, deadstock metal buckle, and is made using vegan recycled textiles.

Susi Studio

bridgette

Bridgette Red Gingham (Rs 8297)

Founded and designed by Bianca Moran Parkes, Susi Studio’s vegan and cruelty-free shoes are crafted to inspire compassion towards humanity, animals and the environment, through creativity. They use materials like canvas, denim, hemp, and faux leather produced from recycled plastic bottles to deliver wear-anywhere sandals, mules, and boots sans embellishments. The Bridgette in Red Gingham,  inspired by famed actress and animal rights activist Bridgette Bardot herself, is made from cotton and recycled PU. All kinds of perfect for your next day date.

Made in Alicante Spain, this animal-free line uses Italian vegan leather, recycled microfiber suede, cream lacquered resin soles, recycled faux-leather lining, and a whole bunch of vintage inspired woven fabrics in its designs.
