I’m not sure how this happened, but every time I get ready to go out at night, the shoes I land up putting on are always a pair of heels. I would only feel fully dressed to meet people at night if I had a (mostly uncomfortable) pair of stilettos or wedges on. Of course, more recently I just wear my sneakers with everything. But sometimes, you’ve just got to be more formal than your white Adidas Superstars.
While those ankle-strap stilettos can really be the devil, you should know that flats can be formal too. I know we’re more used to wearing flats in the day or just to work. But there are options available to walk out in at night, and still look super fly. So if you’re ready to give your 6-inch monsters a break, try some of these.
