Ace designer Tarun Tahiliani showcased on Day 1 of India Couture Week and as usual, his creations left us in awe.
The bridal and couture collections were absolutely stunning, and consisted of 85 pieces in total! Yes, you read that right — 85 pieces of pure perfection.
To begin with, he showcased Tarakanna, which was literally studded with shimmering Swarovski diamonds. The colour scheme was subtle with blush tones of light pink, powdered blue, jade, peach, and mauve.
The 3D flowers and intricate threadwork added to the softness of the muted tones, while the diamonds brought out the grandiosity of the pieces.
Moving on to the ready-to-wear bridal collection, Tarun Tahiliani used influences of Spanish Flamenco dancers and bullfighters to convey the techniques of the Parsi gara, zardozi embroideries, fringing, knit tassels, and velvet detailing.
The vibrant colour palette had bolder tones, such as maroons, golds, and olives, that brought out the traditional elements in a modern and chic manner.
