Malini Awasthi Recalls Seeing A Positive Change In Uttar Pradesh!
While conversing on The Male Feminist, Malini Awasthi recalled an example of a positive change in Uttar Pradesh. The Padma Shri recipient revealed that the expressway was built and Yogi Adityanath’s government had come. She revealed being near the Agra Toll. The man working there asked them to wait. The singer saw him exchange his shift with a woman. Malini Awasthi stated that she couldn’t believe that a girl came and stayed for a night shift in Uttar Pradesh. There, the folk artist told her that she made her happy. However, even after this, the singer thought that she was there only for a couple of hours. The woman told Malini Awasthi that she was on her night duty and then pointed to the next toll where another woman was working as well. After this the singer tweeted how much UP had changed, and the “girls from small town” were working at the toll at night with a lot of confidence. She acknowledged that it was a public-demanding job. Malini Awasthi stated that there wasn’t any better example of Uttar Pradesh’s positive change!

Malini Awasthi On Vulgar Songs
In the same conversation, Malini Awasthi also spoke about the vulgar songs and how she has refused to sing those in the past. She highlighted that there are so many beautiful Bhojpuri songs, and they are also sung very beautifully, but there is no denying the existence of vulgar songs. The singer said, “It’s everyone’s fault, including the music company, singer, lyricist and the listeners as well.” She added that people liking that should not be normalised. Recalling an instance, Malini Awasthi shared that she was called to sing a song; however, after seeing its lyrics, she decided not to go forward with it. While highlighting songs like ‘Fevicol se’ she stated that hit “item songs” have very vulgar lyrics. The singer called out society’s hypocrisy by saying, “You won’t find it vulgar because famous people have performed it, but if you see someone else dancing to it at an orchestra, you will call the song vulgar.” Watch it below!
