Amna Sharif Recalls Skipping School For Three Days After Getting First Period
In the episode, Aman Sharif revealed that she was in 7-8th grade when she got her first period. She was in school at the time and her beige coloured school dress was stained. The actress stated that when she got up, someone informed her about the stain. While reflecting on it, Amna told the host that although she was aware of all of this, she wasn’t prepared. She stated, “I didn’t get up during the entire recess, and then I had to convince my friends to help me out with it.” She stated that two girls brought in safety pins to help her with it but during this time, a boy spread this news to the entire class. The actress revealed that her teacher later permitted her to go home. The Ek Villain star said, “I couldn’t come to school for the next three days because I was so embarrassed. Like, how will I face the boys in class, and how are they going to make fun of me or how are they going to tell me?”
Amna Sharif Has Informed Her Son About Periods
During the same conversation, Amna Sharif revealed that she has educated her and her husband, Amit Kapoor’s son, Arain, about periods. She recalled that when she gets her period, the first days are difficult for her because of the pain. Amna recalled that he once asked about why her stomach was aching, after which she explained to him about periods. Amna highlighted that it was important for a boy to understand that women go through this, and she explained this entire process. The actress also shared that now that she gets her period, her son asks if he can help her out with a hot water bag or something to eat.
