Assam Cops Arrest Zubeen Garg’s Bandmate, Co-Singer In Singer’s Mysterious Death Case

Zubeen Garg Death Case: After Manager, Event Organiser, Police Detains Two More People
As per PTI, Assam’s police special team took quick action after the news broke. On Thursday, they picked up Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, who played music with the late singer and Amritprava Mahanta, who sang alongside him. This makes four people in custody so far.
Videos show Shekhar Jyoti Goswami swimming near the late singer at the time, while Amritprava Mahanta captured the moment on the phone. According to reports, the team questioned them for six days before making the arrests.
Then, the court ordered them to stay with the crime investigation unit for two weeks. These steps aim to uncover the full story behind the tragedy.
Earlier, as per a report by The Times Of India, Zubeen Garg’s manager, Siddharth Sharma, and the event organiser, Shyamkanu Mahanta, were held on Wednesday.
By Thursday, officials charged Sharma and Shyamkanu with serious offences. The top investigator, Munna Gupta, kept the details quiet and said that the work is still ongoing.
Moreover, the late singer’s family holds onto hope amid the chaos. His wife, Garima Garg, talked to ANI, and said that she trusts the courts to sort things out fairly. She believes the law will reveal the truth soon and punish anyone at fault. In her words, “We will soon learn what really happened that day, and we want to know who is guilty of what. If anyone is responsible, they will be punished very soon.”
