Zoya Akhtar On ZNMD Sequel
The filmmaker is often asked about the sequel of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and it looks like we finally have closure. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Zoya Akhtar shared an incident when the ZNMD fans got confused with an advertisement on Yas Island, and thought that it was a trailer of the film’s sequel. Zoya Akhtar also revealed that the fans abused her in the DMs, and said, “This was not funny.”
The fans apparently got confused because the advertisement featured Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, and Abhay Deol, and therefore, fans thought it was a trailer for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2. However, the air was cleared later.
Talking about the update on the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara sequel, Zoya Akhtar said that she is working on the project; however, the director is currently waiting for the right story that feels right for the characters. Adding to the excitement, Zoya Akhtar said that it would be nice whenever it happens and that she would announce it.
