A 90-year-old fan of Pursuit of Jade recently drew attention for staying up until 1 a.m. so he could finish watching more of the series. Shared on a Chinese social networking site, this story quickly became huge. The original poster (OP) claimed that this was the story of their classmate’s grandfather.
Eventually, it even reached lead actor Zhang Linghe’s radar, and his response was heartwarming. While he was thankful for the attention and love, he was justifiably worried about the older man losing sleep over his drama.
As a result, the actor said that the audience, especially if they were senior citizens, must focus on their health and rest well. So, he requested that the grandfather sleep adequately and maintain a good and healthy constitution.
