Pop star Zayn Malik has been making headlines ever since he opened up about his relationship with his ex, Gigi Hadid. The pair dated for nearly six years before going their separate ways, and also share the custody of their daughter Khai. Though they never openly spoke about their relationship much, on the newest episode of Call Her Daddy, the singer finally opened up and said that his idea of love is always developing.

During the chat, Zayn Malik was asked about his previous statement, in which he confessed to not knowing whether he was truly in love. He said, ” At that moment in time, I might have thought it was love, but as I’ve got older, I’ve realised maybe it wasn’t. Maybe it was lust. Maybe it was this. Maybe it was that. I don’t feel like it was love.” He said that though he would always love Gigi Hadid for bringing their child into the world, and would have respect for her, he didn’t know if he was ever in love with her.

He does not believe he was truly in love with her at the time, despite what people may have assumed. According to him, if he had been in love, he would have shown up as a better version of himself in the relationship. Zayn and Gigi dated for almost six years, welcomed Khai in September 2020, then split up in 2021. They opted to continue coparenting Khai. Zayn wrote a sweet Instagram message for Khai on her birthday in 2024.

According to Star, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson’s upcoming Netflix documentary has been put on hold after the two got into a physical altercation at a bar. What eventually started as a heated argument quickly turned physical. Sources also reveal that the fight was very intense and Louis allegedly received a concussion from it. Insiders also say that Netflix might have been recording the incident while the fight was taking place.
