Zareen Khan Shares How Being Compared To Katrina Kaif Affected Her Film Career: “I Was Called A Lookalike…”

Actor Zareen Khan made her spectacular Bollywood debut alongside superstar Salman Khan; nonetheless, the movie’s box office performance was lacklustre. The actress was called Katrina Kaif’s lookalike after the film for a long time and was even trolled for it. The actress recently came out and talked about her life since the movie and how being linked to Katrina badly affected her career.

Zareen Khan On Being Called Katrina Kaif’s Lookalike

Zareen Khan opened up about her life after Veer in a podcast for Haarsh Limbachiyaa and Bharti Singh’s YouTube channel. She started by saying that life after Veer was evil for her and that she got a lot of criticism. Khan opened up and said that the movie was a transformative experience for her. At first, she was thrilled to be compared to Katrina Kaif, but things in the industry continued to deteriorate. She revealed that being compared to Kaif meant a lot to her as she used to be overweight, but it all backfired. In addition to feeling hesitant, she felt like a lost child in the industry. She said that people didn’t know, but they began to think I was conceited because Salman Khan introduced me.

She further said that because of this she preferred staying inside her house and avoided stepping out for a long time. The actor was afraid of people commenting on her clothes because of the comparison. She even said that people would call her names. Zareen Khan described how, following Veer, she struggled to find employment and how people’s opinions of her shifted. The Ready song “Character Dheela” caused her to reevaluate who she was. The actor said that she was taking on whatever work that came her way at that moment. Zareen Khan said that she was doing this because she was the provider in her family.

Zareen Khan last appeared in a major role with Anshuman Jha, Ravi Khanvilkar, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Nitin Sharma in the film Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele. The actress only appeared in a few music videos after that. She uses social media to keep her admirers informed of her whereabouts and is highly active.
