YRF casting director Shanoo Sharma took to her Instagram handle and shared a cryptic note that mentioned hoping that the next big trend is talent. This comes days after actor Anjali Anand recounted an incident with the casting director in Farha Khan’s food vlog. She recalled receiving Shanoo’s call during the COVID-19 pandemic while she was in Goa regarding a film casting. Anjali added that whenever they met, she would tell the actor that when she loses weight, they will do something. Although Shanoo didn’t take any names in her cryptic post, many are reportedly linking it to Anjali.

As soon as Shanoo Sharma shared the cryptic note, people took no time to react to it. While celebrities like Bhumi Pednekar and Ankita Lokhande supported her, other actors, including Riddhi Dogra, Ridhima Pandit and more, called her out. Riddhi took to the comments section and asked the casting director to not give random hopes, as they were all built on this hope and they kept proving themselves, but what works is something entirely different. She added that this “dream talk” sounded lovely, but it’s never going to happen. She added that it’s all luck who clicks and who people like. Ridhima Pandit wrote that she hoped it as well but clearly that’s never going to happen. According to her, the cringier you are, the more work you will get. Ridhima added that the more the actors are seen on the paparazzi pages or are known as someone’s kid or are in a relationship, then and only then one is considered talented.
