The controversy around Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent is just getting uglier. Many well-known personalities including politicians reacted to Ranveer Allahbadia’s questionable remarks on the show. The YouTuber apologised for the joke but now YouTube has removed the controversial video from its platform. This comes right after the Government intervention.

What Happened?

Samay Raina’s latest episode of India’s Got Latent featured Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Makhija. It has created a lot of controversy already and has faced a lot of backlash on the internet. So much so that there have been multiple FIRs and complaints against the show’s creators, Ranveer Allahbadia and even Apoorva Makhija. After Ranveer’s apology video and request to remove the insensitive bits from the show, now YouTube has completely removed the episode from its platform. This comes right after a directive from the Government. The news was confirmed by Kanchan Gupta, the Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. Taking to her X account, formerly known as Twitter, Kanchan Gupta wrote that YouTube had removed the episode from the platform that had “obscene and perverse” comments by Ranveer Allahbadia.

For the unversed, Ranveer Allahbadia had made a joke on s*xual interactions and incest with parents and it left everyone angry. Many internet users demanded cancelling him and slammed the YouTuber for making unnecessary jokes on the platform. Ranveer posted an apology video on social media and accepted that he had made a huge mistake by saying a joke that was not funny or cool.
