BLACKPINK is finally making their much-awaited comeback with the mini album titled Deadline, and YG Entertainment just released the album’s cover, and it has sparked a lot of talk online. Some fans are thrilled about the group’s new music after a long wait, while others are disappointed with the design. Many feel it looks basic and doesn’t match the group’s Read on to know all about it.
YG Entertainment Faces Massive Backlash for BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE Album Cover
Recently, YG Entertainment shared the digital album cover for Deadline. It shows a plain black background with a single pink line running across from left to right. The word ‘deadline’ appears at the bottom in small letters. Many fans felt excited to see new group content coming soon. They shared happy messages and posted about how much they missed BLACKPINK together.
However, a large number of Blinks felt let down by the design. They called it too basic and lacking creativity. Some said it looked like little effort went into it. Others joked that it felt rushed or unfinished. Fans asked why the cover did not have more colours, photos of the members, or other details.
They said that BLACKPINK is known for their strong visuals and unique concepts. Hence, they were disappointed. A few even suggested fans contact YG to ask for a change, though most knew it was unlikely. Still, the criticism stayed focused on the design and did not take away from the excitement for the album itself.
