Deepika Padukone’s exit from Kalki Part 2 sparked a strong debate around the 8-hour work shift. The actor also spoke about it during an interview when she claimed that many male actors followed such a schedule and did not even work on weekends. Other female stars like Rani Mukerji and more also commented on the same, and now Haq star Yami Gautam also shared her opinion. As per Yami too, many actors have strictly stuck to a schedule, and the actor further spoke about having a time cap. Read on.
What Did Yami Gautam Say?
The Article 370 actor recently shared her thoughts on DP’s eight-hour work shift demand. As per Yami Gautam, many actors work 8-hour shifts, don’t do night shoots, and only shoot for five days a week. These things are pre-decided among the producer, actor and director, as per Yami’s statement the Times Now News.
Furthermore, Yami Gautam strictly supported a time cap that is given in any other field as well, however, she also acknowledged the challenges that their work faces like locations, permissions, other actors’ schedule and even technicians. Therefore, she further opined that the time cap concept was subjective and mostly depended on the understanding among the actor, producer and director. Yami Gautam also stated that a woman, whether working or homemaker is special as a mother as she does everything for her children.
On the work front, Yami Gautam will soon be seen in Suparn Verma’s Haq, also starring Emraan Hashmi and Sheeba Chaddha. The reviews are out and the critics have hailed Yami’s performance in the film.
