Yami Gautam Reacts To “Nationalist Actor” Tag
As per reports, during the trailer launch event of her latest movie, Haq, Yami Gautam was asked about being labelled as a “nationalist actor”. The actress stated that she was not aware of the tag. She added that people will always say something or the other and that these labels keep on “shifting.” According to the Vicky Donor star, the opportunity she is getting to tell these types of stories have their own “importance.” Yami added that they could have made a documentary as well. She stated that they are in the showbiz and every type of audience exists. Yami also expressed that they try to bring people together.
During this event, she further stated that if one watches the story and they like it, then it’s a good movie. If one thinks of something else, then they are a “different kind of audience,” she respects that and that it was “fine.” Yami stated that the audience had never expressed anything like that to her and that she has always been “in service to them.”
