There is a lot of ongoing debate around Yami Gautam losing an award to her fellow colleague Kriti Sanon. Social media users opine that it’s unfair, and the buzz around it grew more after some of them noticed that the Haq star had ‘liked’ one of the reels shading Kriti. What Is The Controversy
There were a lot of claims on social media about the Haq actor Yami Gautam’s like on a reel shading Kriti Sanon for a recent win at an award function. However, Yami immediately took note of these speculations and reacted by posting an official statement on the same. In this note, the actor acknowledged about the conversations around her ‘like’ on a certain reel that was demeaning towards a particular actor. She added that the actors get tagged in several reels and the one in question was one of them where she had been tagged. However, Yami added that she had not ‘liked’ the reel consciously, and it was clicked accidentally.
Yami Gautam further said that she had never turned to cheap PR tactics and had always focused on her work. She also criticised some reputed social media pages to use the story as a gossip, and further added, “I hope they consider I have earned a better reputation than that.” Yami Gautam again clarified that she has no PR team, and that she had clarified her stance on entertainment awards long back. The actor continues to stick to her work, as per the statement.
Yami Gautam was last seen in Haq. There are speculations that she may have a cameo in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 but there are no official statements on the same.
