Bollywood actor Yami Gautam welcomed her first baby boy Vedavid with her husband Aditya Dhar in 2024. The actor took a brief break after the childbirth and has returned to promote her upcoming film Dhoom Dhaam. During a conversation at the promotional events, Yami Gautam opened up about her experience of motherhood and how the duo will keep their baby away from the media for a normal childhood.

During a conversation with News18 Showsha, Yami Gautam opened up about how motherhood changed her life. She stated how as a mother, one’s entire life changes. She said, “Of course, you’re so happy, you’re on top of the world, this is the biggest blessing, and this is so new to you, and you’re so vulnerable because this is also the most important thing, something which you only have to learn by yourself, nobody teaches you.”

Gautam said that if it was up to her, she would just be with her baby for hours. The actor then said that she and her husband Aditya Dhar have decided to keep him away from cameras. She explained how the limelight can have a psychological effect and that they wanted him to enjoy his life. This personal decision is good for them because every parent should have the freedom to raise their children as they want.

Yami Gautam met Aditya Dhar while filming Uri: The Surgical Strike, in which she acted and Dhar directed. The pair married on June 4, 2021. On May 10, 2024, the couple welcomed their first child, a boy called Vedavid. Yami was last seen on the big screen in Article 370, which came out last year. Dhoom Dhaam is next on her list. Rishab Seth directs the film, which also stars Pratik Gandhi. The film will be available on Netflix on February 14th.
