5 Reasons Why Emily In Paris Season 5 Is Not A Good Idea!
Emily In Paris stars Lily Collins and Lucas Bravo in lead roles. Read here to know more.

The fourth season of Emily In Paris ended with Emily (Lily Collins) moving to Rome for her professional commitments and also, the cute guy Marcello. As expected, the series is returning with a fifth season and the official announcement has got the fans excited. However, I am not one of them. This may be an unpopular opinion but I don’t want a new season for Emily In Paris and I am quite satisfied with how the latest one ended in Rome. Here are a few more reasons why I strongly believe so.
1. A Personal, Professional Closure For Emily!
In the second part of Emily In Paris, season 4, Emily (Lily Collins) explores Rome with Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschini), which leaves us all feeling jealous. The end couldn’t be better because it was a fresh beginning for Emily as well as the audience. Emily also left her love life with Gabriel behind while also taking a step further in her professional life. Also, the essence of the show was limited to Paris, and I’d not be up for her life in Rome! So, what more can a new season offer?
2. Paris Plot Is Exhausted
The charm of Emily’s life in Paris became quite redundant after the second season despite new characters and subplots. By the fourth season, Emily’s life in Paris no longer interested me. With the fifth season coming, I only look forward to disappointment if Emily moves back to Paris, and more so, if it is with Gabriel.
3. Supporting Characters
Supporting characters like Sylvie, Mindy Chen, Luc and Alfie were all interesting in their ways. But by the fourth season, I also realised that there was nothing left for the characters to add to the plot or Emily’s life. In the end, I was happy to see an empathetic side to Sylvie’s character and the arc was satisfying. However, the new season will only be boring if these characters are revived with the same traits. Ab toh Camille ka bhi whitewash ho gaya!

4. Gabriel Saga
Honestly, Gabriel and Emily’s ending up together may be the most conventional and predictable ending that the makers may be hoping for, but I am signing up for it again. They have had their plot and story, and it should no longer be stretched, which, is going to be the case in the new season.
5. We’ve Got Our Escapism!
I have got enough escapism from the Emily In Paris series. In terms of fashion, food, place and boys, Emily In Paris has been a good escape from a boring and mundane life, however, there is nothing more I’d expect out of it, and by the new season, it became evident that the escapism could not come from the Paris plot. So that’s enough reason for me to believe that the show should not have a new season.
