The sudden death of actress and model Shefali Jariwala on June 27 has left the world and the entertainment industry in state of disbelief. The 40-year-old, best known as the Kaanta Laga Girl, died of sudden cardiac arrest at her residence, according to reports. Her husband drove her to Bellevue Multispecialty Clinic, but she was declared dead upon arrival. As condolences flooded social media, so too did a whirlwind of speculation about the cause of death and if anything might have been done to prevent it.
What Is The Ram Kit, And Why Is It Linked To Shefali Jariwala?
In the midst of the emotional maelstrom, a video uploaded by social media content creator Nikhil Saini has become widely popular online. In it, he talks about an affordable emergency medical kit known as the Ram Kit, which he says could possibly save people with signs of a heart attack until they are taken to the hospital. The kit has been created by Dr. Neeraj Kumar, a cardiologist in Kanpur’s Laxmipat Singhania Institute, and reportedly is available for only 7. It includes three essential medicines: Sorbitrate (for instant vasodilation), Rosuvastatin (for control of cholesterol levels), and Ecosprin (an anticoagulant).
Saini emphasises that these tablets must be taken in case of emergencies when a person has recurring chest pain or symptoms of a suspected heart attack. He titles the video with an appeal: “Every home should have a Ram Kit.”
But the video has also come under fire for possibly being deceptive. Several noted that Shefali had a cardiac arrest, not a heart attack, two different but related medical crises. A heart attack is a blockage that limits blood flow to the heart, whereas cardiac arrest is an electrical issue that makes the heart simply stop beating.
