Kim Kardashian Fought Legal Case During Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez’s Wedding
The lawsuit, filed by Ivan Cantu, a project manager from New York, accuses Kardashian of defamation and emotional distress after she mistakenly used his photo in an Instagram story back in February 2024. At the time, Kardashian was using her platform to bring awareness to the case of a Texas death row inmate, who also happens to be named Ivan Cantu. Unfortunately, she posted the wrong man’s photo, linking the New Yorker to a capital murder case he had no connection to.
Legal documents reveal that Kardashian signed a formal response to the lawsuit on June 26 just a day before she attended the star-studded wedding in Italy. In her declaration, she took full responsibility for the error but insisted it was unintentional. They pressured on the fact that the incorrect image was removed shortly after it was posted and that Kardashian had issued a public apology once the mistake was brought to her attention.
