Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Ka Chashmah is one of the longest-running shows on Indian television. It also has a lot of fan following. However, many actors have opted out of the show, and now we see new faces. One of the first few actors to leave the show was Disha Vakani, who played the role of Dayaben, Jethalal’s wife. Neither the actor returned nor could she be replaced. Now, her elder brother, also an actor, revealed the reason behind her leaving the show. Read here for more.
Why Disha Vakani Left TMKOC?
Disha Vakani was recently spotted, and she is greatly missed by her fans. However, she is no longer coming back to the show, that’s for sure. Recently, her elder brother Mayur Vakani, who also played Disha’s on-screen brother Sundarlal in the show, has revealed the reason why the actor would not bee seen on the sitcom. As per his interview with Etimes, Disha Vakani left the show due to her commitments towards the family. Mayur Vakani further praised her sister for her hard work and dedication towards her craft which gave her many fans. However, he further said that Disha Vakani was currently busy with her role as a mother and was dedicated to that entirely.

For the unversed, Disha Vakani left TMKOC in 2017 after she gave birth to her first child. And since then she has not returned. There were also some reports around TMKOC makers conducting auditions for the role of Dayaben, however, as of now, the show is without the character.
