Who Is Soubhin Shahir From Rajnikanth’s Coolie?

Soubin Shahir did not right away start working in front of the camera, but it was more behind the scenes. Born on October 12, 1983, in Kochi, Kerala, he initially worked as an assistant director for several years before facing the camera. He made his acting debut in Annayum Rasoolum (2013) but shot to fame with his quirky, comic role in Premam (2015). He later earned the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his heartfelt performance in Sudani from Nigeria (2018).

Over the years, he’s become known for roles in films like Kumbalangi Nights and Manjummel Boys. But no one expected the actor usually seen in quiet or emotional roles to bring such explosive energy to a dance number.
