While both debut heroes Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda are hogging the limelight, there’s another name that’s making some noise too, Shaan R Grover, the villain Mahesh Iyer. It’s his big-screen debut, and fans are noticing how well he’s done.

Who Is Shaan R Grover From Saiyaara?

Previously, Shaan R Grover worked behind the scenes and later started out as an assistant director on Sanam Teri Kasam, a romantic tragedy featuring Harshvardhan Rane. Shaan hails from Delhi and went on to complete his schooling at Modern School, later enrolling at Jai Hind College in Mumbai. According to reports, Shaan has studied acting with acclaimed casting director Shanoo Sharma.

Shaan has been a very familiar face on the screen and has previously worked in various OTT shows, like the Netflix series Nobleman, and web series such as Roohaniyat, Leaked, and Dus June Ki Raat. Saiyaara is his first big-ticket movie in a leading role, and playing the part of Mahesh a dark-hearted antagonist, has brought him recognition and acclaim.

In a recent conversation, Shaan spoke about the controversy surrounding nepotism within the industry. He admitted that star kids could get more preferential treatment, but reiterated that talent and hard work also find a path ahead. Recalling his own career, he opined that getting a YRF film like Saiyaara was a combination of luck, hard work, and fate. He said that the film cast people from various backgrounds together, which resulted in something emotionally intense and authentic.
