This news is also making the rounds on social media because he is reportedly a relative of Sunny Deol and his family. Who Is Rohan Acharya?

According to The Deccan Chronicle, Rohan Acharya is a 34-year-old entrepreneur based in Dubai. His Instagram bio, “Global Citizen since ’93,” has recently attracted notice when followers looked for his profile. According to India Today, he has worked in the hospitality and travel industries, formerly serving as a partner and service executive at Blueground before joining BCD Travel as a Projects and Assignments executive. According to his LinkedIn profile, he attended Kingston University. However, it is unclear whether the profile belongs to the same Rohan linked to Rohan or not.

In terms of familial background, Rohan comes from an affluent family with cinematic connections. He is purportedly the great-grandson of famed director Bimal Roy, who created classic successes like Do Bigha Zamin, Devdas (1955), Parineeta, and Sujata. His mother, Chimoo Acharya, is the daughter of filmmakers Basu Bhattacharya and Rinki Roy Bhattacharya. Needless to say, he comes from one of India’s most respected families in the film industry. Moreover, Rohan’s sister, Drisha Acharya, is married to actor Sunny Deol’s son, Karan Deol. As a result, Rohan is tangentially tied to the Deol family, which gives their relationship an unexpected Bollywood twist.
