A few hours after singer AR Rahman and Saira Banu’s divorce, the former’s bassist Mohini Dey also announced her separation on social media. Mohini Dey has worked with the singer in many of his shows and is a significant part of his troupe. Who Is Mohini Dey?
Mohini Dey has been in the news after officially confirming her divorce from her husband Mark Hartsuch. In a joint statement on social media, the duo announced that they had mutually decided to part ways due to personal reasons but would continue to professionally work together. However, apart from this news on the personal front, Mohini Dey is also a bassist by profession who has been a part of AR Rahman’s troupe.
She has worked with him on approximately 40 shows. Mohini Dey is a 29-year-old bassist who hails from Kolkata, West Bengal. She released her debut album in 2023, August. Mohini Dey rose to fame with Gaan Bangla’s Wind of Change
On the other hand, AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu also announced their separation in a joint statement through their divorce lawyer Vandana Shah. As per the post, the couple has mutually decided to part ways because of some problems that both parties are unable to resolve. Their three children also reacted to the news and have asked for privacy in these tough times.
