Why Was He Arrested?
Jay Dudhane was arrested while he was about to go on his honeymoon after a retired engineer filed an FIR against him. It was alleged that the reality show star and four other relatives persuaded him to purchase five commercial shops in Thane that were already mortgaged by the bank. The engineer claimed that he was cheated out of Rs. 4.61 crore. The police officials booked Jay and four other family members under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita for alleged forgery and cheating. The Splitsvilla winner has denied the allegations, claiming that the facts have been twisted. Further, Jay also expressed his faith in the judicial system and that he was ready to face the situation.
