With Saiyaara releasing on July 18, 2025, everyone is looking at debutantes Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, who will headline the movie under Yash Raj Films’ flag. Aneet Padda was born in October 2002 and is relatively new to fame, yet not unknown to the entertainment sphere. She first appeared on screen in the 2022 film Salaam Venky, which was helmed by Revathy and starred Kajol. There, she essays the character of Nandini, displaying early hints of her acting skills. But it was her portrayal of one of the titular lead characters in Amazon Prime Video’s Big Girls Don’t Cry that really made her sing. In the role of Roohi, Aneet was impressive alongside Pooja Bhatt, Raima Sen, and Zoya Hussain, with many complimenting her screen presence and emotional range.
The 22-year-old actress also has a creative outlet outside of acting, she’s a singer-songwriter and even lent vocals to tracks on Big Girls Don’t Cry. Aneet allegedly impressed YRF during her audition and was cast as the lead in Saiyaara following what industry people term as a standout screen test.
