One of South Korea’s biggest award nights is set to take place today. The MBC Entertainment Awards 2025 will be held at the MBC Media Centre public hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Comedy duo Jung and Jang will be the hosts of the MBC Entertainment Awards 2025. They have previously hosted multiple prestigious award shows like the 2024 SBS Entertainment Awards and the K World Dream Awards. The duo were to share the stage with SHINee’s Key as the MC for the awards; however, Key was announced to step down from the position after he was embroiled in the ‘injection aunty’ scandal. The idol took to his Instagram to announce the news.
SHINee’s Key is the only celebrity who has been embroiled in the scandal; popular variety stars like Park Narare and Lee Yi Kyung have also been scrutinised for their alleged involvement in ongoing controversies. Fans wonder if the absence of such major celebrities will affect the award ceremony.
When And Where To Watch The MBC Entertainment Awards 2025
The 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards will air live on Monday, December 29, at 8:50 p.m. KST (5:20 p.m. IST). Fans can see the show by tuning in to the MBC network. KNTV will broadcast the live MBC ceremony in Japan for the first time. South Korean fans can watch the awards on SKPB Live, and international fans can watch it on the MBC Entertainment YouTube channel.

The nominees for the Best Variety Show will be announced during the live show. Although the nominees for the Grand Prize (Daesang) were not announced, Park Na Rae and Lee Yi Kyung are expected to be top contenders for the award despite their scandals.
