Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty recently made headlines after she decided to shut her famous restaurant Bastian in Mumbai’s Bandra. The food place was the ultimate Bollywood celeb hub up until a few years ago and was visited by everyone from the industry. This news comes after she and her husband, Raj Kundra, were accused of a 60 Crore cheating scandal. Here’s a throwback of the actress talking about her restaurant.
Shilpa Shetty On Bastian Bandra
During a chat with Zoom TV, Shilpa Shetty opened up about the chatter around the revenue generated by her restaurant Bastian Bandra. She said, “They’re all wrong, and their numbers are totally wrong. We’re making much more than that (laughs). Last time we paid the highest GST for the hospitality.” She jokingly revealed that her manager got more calls about seats at the restaurant than about her work as an actor.
Shetty was amazed by the love her restaurant received and said that hosting such celebrations was a joy for them. On Tuesday, September 2, Shilpa took to her Instagram and shared the unfortunate news of Bastian Bandra closing. She said that the venue gave them the ultimate memories amid countless nights. And to honour that, a last soiree at the venue will be hosted by the actress for her closest patrons. Meanwhile, Bastian: At The Top, in Dadar, would remain in business.
