Jaat (Theatres)
A seaside village is scared of a bad guy, Varadaraja Ranatunga. When a stranger arrives and sees how bad things are, he decides to fight back for the villagers. Armed with what’s right, he’s heading for a final showdown with Varadaraja. This movie, by Gopichandh Malineni, stars Sunny Deol and others, and it comes out on April 10th.
Bazooka (Theatres)
The film brings together a determined police officer and a clever businessman. They team up for a dangerous mission: hunting down a serial killer by setting up elaborate games to trap him. It is directed by Deeno Dennis and stars Mammootty alongside Gautham Menon in important roles. It will be released on April 10th.
Akaal (Theatres)
Also hitting theatres on April 10th is “Akaal”. This intense story takes you back to Punjab in the 1840s, along a river where two villages’ lives become connected. After the powerful leader Maharaja Ranjeet Singh passes away, tensions rise. A bad guy named Jangi Jahan and his friends suddenly attack the peaceful village of Sardar Akaal Singh. Akaal Singh and his people bravely fight back while Jangi Jahan seeks revenge and goes against an agreement with the river as he gathers his forces. It is also directed by Gippy Grewal.
Phule (Theatres)
Then, on April 11th, Phule arrives in theatres. This powerful movie tells the inspiring true story of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule. They were amazing reformers who fought for the education of girls, the rights of people treated unfairly, and the well-being of widows. Directed by Ananth Mahadevan, the film stars Patralekhaa and Pratik Gandhi in the main roles.
Warfare (Theatres)
Also releasing in theatres on April 11th is Warfare. It’s a close-up, intense story about modern fighting and the bond between soldiers, told in real-time as remembered by those who lived it. The movie has a big cast, including D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai as Mendoza, along with Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Joseph Quinn, Kit Connor, and many others.
The Amateur (Theatres)
Another theatrical release on April 11th is The Amateur. The story is about Charlie Heller, a super-smart but shy code expert for the CIA who works in a basement. His life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a terrorist attack in London. The movie is directed by James Hawes and stars Rami Malek and Rachel Brosnahan.
Chhorii 2 (Prime Video)
For OTT lovers, Chhorii 2 is releasing on April 11th. The plot revolves around Sakshi, who has to save her seven-year-old daughter from a dangerous cult that believes in superstitions. She also has to fight against unfair practices in society and the scary memories that keep haunting her and other young women. The movie stars Nushrratt Bharuccha, Soha Ali Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, and others.
Black Mirror Season 7 (Netflix)
Netflix is bringing back Black Mirror with season 7 on April 10th. This season tells the story of Amanda, a schoolteacher who is fighting for her life after a medical emergency. Her desperate husband, Mike, signs her up for Rivermind, a high-tech system that can keep her alive, but it comes with a big cost. The season stars Chris O’Dowd, Rashida Jones, and others.
Campus Beats Season 5 (Amazon MX Player)
Get ready for more action on the dance floor, as the fifth season of Campus Beats is almost here. This time, the story follows Netra and her dance group, called Ruthless. They’re getting ready for a big national dance competition, but things are about to get complicated because Netra’s old rival, Rihanna, is back. Rihanna is leading her own dance team, the Beat Breakers. Directed by Palki Malhotra, the show stars Shantanu Maheshwari and Shruti Sinha, and you can catch all the action starting on April 10th.
The Legend Of Hanuman Season 6 (JioHotstar)
On JioHotstar, The Legend of Hanuman returns with season 6 on April 11th. This time, Hanuman is in a race against time to save Lakshmana, who has been wounded in battle. He needs to find the magical Sanjeevani Booti to bring him back to life.
Chhaava (Netflix)
Also coming to Netflix on April 11th is Chhaava. This film tells the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It stars Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna and is directed by Laxman Utekar.
Emmanuelle (Lionsgate Play)
Finally, for those looking for a different kind of story, Lionsgate Play will release Emmanuelle on April 11th. This is a French erotic drama film from 2024, directed and co-written by Audrey Diwan. Based on a novel from 1967, the film stars Noémie Merlant and Will Sharpe.
