A Minecraft Movie (Theatres)

Get ready for a big-screen adventure with A Minecraft Movie. This movie, inspired by the popular video game, tells the story of four regular people who suddenly find themselves in the blocky world of Minecraft. They’ll have to learn how things work there and team up with a helpful expert named Steve to complete a special mission and protect the Overworld from bad guys like piglins and zombies. Along the way, they’ll discover their own hidden talents that can help them back in their normal lives. You can catch it in theatres starting April 4th.

Presence (Theatres)

Also hitting theatres on April 4th is Presence, a suspenseful movie with a touch of the supernatural. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the film features Lucy Liu, Chris Sullivan, and Callina Liang in a story that promises thrills and drama.

Chamak – The Conclusion (SonyLIV)

For those who prefer to watch at home, SonyLIV has two new shows arriving on April 4th. Chamak – The Conclusion continues the story of Kaala, who is seeking revenge for his father’s death. His quest for justice takes him into the dangerous world of the music industry in Punjab, where he uncovers secrets and faces tough situations as he tries to honour his father’s memory. The show stars Paramvir Singh Cheema and Gippy Grewal, among others.

Adrishyam 2: The Invisible Heroes (SonyLIV)

The same day, SonyLIV also releases Adrishyam Season 2. This series follows a secret team of top agents, led by Ravi Verma, as they tackle even more dangerous threats to the nation. This season introduces a new character, Durga, played by Pooja Gor.

MobLand (JioHotstar)

This crime story is set in London and focuses on two rival crime families locked in a battle that could bring down their empires. A “fixer” named Harry Da Souza gets caught in the middle of all the chaos. The show stars Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. You can already watch as it premiered on March 31st.

Pulse (Netflix)

Netflix has a new medical drama called Pulse, which starts streaming on April 3rd. The show follows the busy lives of doctors and staff at a trauma centre in Miami. The cast includes Willa Fitzgerald, Colin Woodell, and Justina Machado.

Juror #2 (JioHotstar)

Already available on JioHotstar since April 1st is the movie Juror #2. This legal thriller, directed by Clint Eastwood, stars Nicholas Hoult as a juror in a big murder trial who makes a shocking realisation: he might have accidentally caused the victim’s death.

Test (Netflix)

Coming to Netflix on April 4th is the Tamil sports drama Test. The film tells the intertwined stories of a passionate cricketer, a teacher torn between love and duty, and a brilliant scientist, all facing their own important challenges. The film features R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth in the lead roles.

A Real Pain (JioHotstar)

A Real Pain will release on April 4th. This film is about two American cousins who travel to Poland after their grandmother passes away. Their trip to honour her and learn about their family history becomes a way for them to confront the differences and unresolved issues in their own relationship, leading to a deeper understanding and connection. The movie is written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg, who also stars alongside Kieran Culkin.

Karma (Netflix)

Also on Netflix from April 4th is the South Korean crime thriller series Karma. This show follows a group of people who get caught up in unexpected and unfortunate relationships, leading them to hurt each other as they chase their own desires. The cast includes Park Hae-soo and Shin Min-a.
