From the Kangana Ranaut and Anupam Kher starrer Emergency to debutants Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani starrer Azaad, its a total happening week for cinephiles! Apart from these films, highly anticipated series like Paatal Lok Season 2 and a documentary on the legacy of The Roshans. Which one are you adding to your watch list?

Emergency (Theatres)

Directed by Kangana Ranaut, the film is based on the challenges and controversies of Indira Gandhi’s leadership during the emergency. It also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and others in prominent roles and will hit theatres on January 17.

Azaad (Theatres)

Make way for new debutants Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani on the big screen! The film revolves around the story of a boy who becomes friends with a horse. Side by side, there is also an intriguing plot about freedom struggle, and it is set to release on January 17.

Wolf Man (Theatres)

The plot revolves around a family living in a remote farmhouse who faces a terrifying night as they are hunted by an unseen creature. As fear grips them, the father’s shocking transformation reveals that the real danger may be within their own walls. Directed by Leigh Whannell, it is set to release on January 17.

Kadhalikka Neramillai (Theatres)

 Starring Ravi Mohan and Nithya Menen in lead roles, the film is all about love, laughter, and chaos that will keep you hooked! It is all set to release on January 14. 

Sankranthiki Vasthunam (Theatres)

Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the story revolves around YD Raju, a retired IPS officer who finds himself in a funny and chaotic situation when his ex-girlfriend asks for his help with a kidnapping case. What will he do next? Find out on January 14. 

A Real Pain (Theatres)

Directed by Jesse Eisenberg, it follows two Jewish-American cousins who come together for a trip to Poland to honour their late grandmother, which later turns into an exploration of their family history and old wounds. Find out more as the film will be released on January 17.

This season follows Hathiram investigating the murder of the founder of the Nagaland Democratic Forum. During the investigation, he gets caught up in a dangerous world of gangs and more. Chidiya Udd (Amazon MX Player)

Popular novel Cages: Love and Vengeance in a Red Light has been turned into a new crime drama. Starring Jackie Shroff in a leading role, the story follows a 20-year-old girl named Seher from Rajasthan, the Mumbai underworld and the red light district. Find out more as it will be released on January 15. 

XO, Kitty Season 2 (Netflix)

If you are a fan of K-dramas and high-school rom-coms, you must have watched season 1 of XO Kitty! So, get ready for more fun as Kitty heads back to high school. Well, in this season, fans will be excited to see Noah Centineo back as Peter Kavinsky. It will premiere on January 16. 

Hereditary (Netflix)

We can’t keep calm as this 2018 horror film is all set to release on the OTT platform! The plot revolves around an artist named Annie and her family, who face dark forces after discovering a shocking truth following her mother’s death. As the story unfolds, they find themselves caught in a struggle against evil forces. It will be available on Netflix from January 15.
